at the busiest online panel community?

If you’re signed up as a member of ConsultaPanel, you should be receiving e-mails about all the online surveys and other market research initiatives we're involved in. Sometimes we send e-mails out to all of our panel members, other times we will only choose people from a specific province or from a specific age group (this is why it’s important to fill in your demographic survey – once you’ve logged into the online panel, you will see the demographic survey in the Profile and Messages box).

It’s been a busy few weeks – this is what we have been up to:

Telkom focus group recruitment

We recently launched a campaign for face-to-face personal interviews for Telkom, who want to find out more about business customers’ needs and preferences with regards to specific internet solutions. Over 1,700 of our online panel members responded, saying they would like to be a part of this interviewing process.

Consulta’s field force conducted these personal interviews during August, involving a large number* of panel members who gave them some great insights into their perceptions and needs about internet solutions. The interviews were conducted in nine metro areas across the entire country.

Short Term Insurance study

Another exciting online market research initiative was the Short Term Insurance Conjoint Study. The client, who is a prominent insurance provider in South Africa, wanted to understand what factors their clients and potential clients deem important when acquiring short term insurance (your inputs are going to be used in the development of an innovative new product that will give you more insurance options that better suite your needs).

We are also giving away great awards to online panel members who took part in this online research (such as an iPad 2 and over R5000 worth of vouchers). The winners will be selected from a lucky draw – which can take a while because we don’t simply throw names into a hat, we have a huge random draw process to ensure that the winners are selected completely randomly - we will let you know as soon as the winners have been selected!
