We are happy to report that most of those who completed the survey do take part in some form of exercise, whether it is once a month, week or day.
With the obesity rate being 2 in every 3 South Africans*, it is vital for each and every one to engage in some form of exercise. Some of the more popular forms of exercise that you enjoy included walking, going to the gym, jogging and cycling. You also told us that the most popular reasons for exercising were for general fitness followed by weight loss and then muscle toning.
Some facts about exercise:

Exercise promotes weight loss and maintaining your weight
- Exercise prevents osteoporosis
- Exercise lowers high blood pressure
- Exercise prevents colds
- Exercise is a great de-stressor
- Exercise promotes healthy pregnancy
- Exercise is fun
Remember it is never too early or too late to start doing exercises and there is something for every age and personality out there!
